BAYERN MUNICH were victorious as they said goodbye to Xabi Alonso, Philippe Lahm and goalkeeper Tom Starke.

Arjen Robben handed Carlo Ancelotti’s side the lead after an assist from Alonso in the fourth minute, before Arturo Vidal doubled Bayern’s lead in the 73rd minute.

Nils Petersen equalised three minutes after Vidal’s strike, but the tie was put to bed in injury-time after goals from Franck Ribery and Joshua Kimmich.

Ancelotti promised to substitute both Alonso and Lahm late on in the match and he allowed the fans to applaud them off the pitch in the 82nd and 87th minute respectively.

They then capped off the occasion by wildly celebrating their status as Bundesliga champions.
